| ~ Tasty fried potatoes ~ For [extra] flavour, fry the potatoes in good quality olive oil. ~ Burned wooden forks? ~ In order not to have burned wooden forks in the barbecue, you soak them for many hours in water before you use them. ~ Curved steaks? ~ In order for the stakes not to curve during baking, frying or barbequing, cut the fat that is found around the stake in two - three places. ~ Cleaning of the grill ~ After you have used the grill and as long as it is still hot, scrape the left over food with a steel or bronze brush. ~ This way they will not harden and blacken the grill and it will be clean for the next time you will need to use it. ~ Baking hamburgers (biftekia) ~ When you cook hamburgers handle them with carefully. ~ Do not press them with spatula in order to cook them faster. ~ You will remove their juices from inside and you will leave them dry. ~ Cooking on the grill ~ When you cook on the grill fish, meat or birds, you place the thin part away from the fire; this way the thick and thin parts of the meat or fish are cooked uniformly. |
