~ Here are some Greek cooking tips on how to set a formal table to impress guests or family members.
~ Lay a nice well ironed tablecloth on your table (preferably white) or another color can be used but should be of one color.
~ Polishing serving plates and glasses would not be a bad idea.
~ Place serving plates into one another depending on how many courses of meals will be served.

~ The bread plate with butter knife is placed on the left of the main plate after the forks.
~ Place the knives on the right side of the plates, always with blades facing inwards.
~ Knife for main course is always next to the plate and fish knife after that.
~ Soup spoon is placed next to the knives.
~ Forks are placed on the left of the plate with the main course meal fork closer to the plate.
~ Dessert fork and spoon are placed on top of the plate with handles opposite to one another.
~ Glasses are placed on the top right of the plates. Water glass is placed to the right and wine glass next to it to the left.
~ If red and white wine will be served, two wine glasses are required

~ Napkin folded in different shapes (preferably clothe, matching the table cover) could be placed in the water glass or in the plate.
~ For a better atmosphere and a nice mood setting, in the middle of the table a nice flower arrangement is what is needed, making sure they are low enough so none of the guests are blocked from viewing one another.
~ A nice addition will be two candle holders on each side of the arrangement.
~ Chairs should be placed close to the table without touching the table covering.
~ Following some or all of these Greek Cooking Tips will make you feel better and have people talk about it for some time to come.
