| ~ Ingredients: ~ 1 kilo ripped tomatoes Or 2 tbsp of tomato paste ~ 1 onion finely chopped ~ 1 teacup of oil or 3/4 teacup butter ~ 1 1/2-2 cans of can tuna in water ~ 1/2 teacup of grated cheese of choice ~ 3 cloves of garlic finely chopped ~ 1 bay leaf ~ 2 tbsp of finely chopped parsley ~ Salt and pepper to taste |

| ~ Clean and finely slice the garlic cloves. ~ Clean and finely chop the onion ~ Empty the cans of tuna, discard the water, spread the tuna and mix it with the parsley. ~ Grade the tomatoes, or dilute the tomato paste in 2 teacups of water. ~ Heat up the oil or melt the butter in a large sauce pan and pour in the grated tomatoes or the diluted tomato paste to boil. ~ Add the sliced garlic, finely chopped onion, bay leaf, salt and pepper to taste and simmer on low heat until the sauce thickens. ~ Stir occasionally. ~ At that point add the tuna with parsley and simmer for another 5-10 minutes. ~ Remove from the heat, add the graded cheese, stir well to mix and serve. ~ Stir well and serve over a bed of rice or pasta of any kind. ~ Good luck and bon appétit. |
