Metaxa Grand Olympian Reserve

 

Greek Sangreia ~ The most famous Spanish drink in its Greek version. ~ Ingredients for a pitcher: ~ 2 bottles of dry white wine (like Chenin blank or Chardonnay) ~ 1/2 a cup of Cointreau ~ 1 cup of METAXA 5* ~ 1 cup of apricot nectar ~ 1/2 a cup super fine sugar ~ 2 limes, thinly sliced, seeded ~ 2 oranges, thinly sliced, seeded ~ 2 cups of club soda ~ Fresh mint sprigs ~ Preparation: ~ Put the fruits pieces in a pitcher with sugar. ~ Add METAXA, Cointreau, the wine, the apricot nectar, and the club soda. ~ At the very end, add the mint sprigs. ~ Let it rest for a couple of hours. ~ Add some ice cubes and enjoy!
	So Nikos ~ The "So Nikos" is our latest and most exclusive cocktail, especially created for us by Nikos Aliagas, our Brand Ambassador. ~ It has been launched in Athens on the Nikos' Name Day. ~ Ingredients: ~ 1 fresh fig (sweet as possible) ~ 3/4 leaves of sage (pineapple sage if possible) ~ 5 cl of METAXA 5* ~ Lemonade ~ Ice cubes ~ Preparation: ~ Muddle in a shaker 5 cl of METAXA 5* with the fresh fig, the sage leaves and some ice cubes. ~ Shake and pour into a Helios glass over some ice cubes. ~ Fill up with lemonade ~ Decoration: ~ Decorate with a slice of Fresh fig
Suntonic ~ Ingredients: ~ 4 cl METAXA 5* ~ Tonic water ~ Ice ~ Preparation: ~ Pour 4 cl of METAXA 5* into a Helios Glass filled with ice. ~ Top up with chilled tonic water and garnish with a slice of fresh orange.
	Fig Heaven ~ Ingredients: ~ METAXA 5* ~ Fig jam ~ Lime ~ Apple juice ~ Grenadine ~ Preparation: ~ Put fig jam and two slices of lime into a glass ~ Squash the content and fill in with crushed ice to half of the glass ~ Measure out METAXA 5*, apple juice and carefully shake with bar spoon ~ Fill the glass up with crushed ice and Grenadine ~ Decoration: ~ Physalis
Anguri Sour ~ Created in 1995 by Alexander Hauck, bartender in Frankfurt's trendy Luna Bar, the Anguri Sour won the German METAXA Bar Champions 2005 competition at the first go. ~ Ingredients: ~ 2-3 cm piece of cucumber ~ 5 cl METAXA 5* ~ 3 cl Fresh lemon juice ~ 2 cl Sugar syrup ~ 2-3 cm piece of cucumber ~ Preparation: ~ Mash the cucumber piece. ~ Add METAXA, lemon juice and sugar syrup. ~ Strain it into a Helios glass. ~ Decoration: ~ Slice of cucumber ~ Cocktail cherry
	Greek Mojito ~ Try and enjoy this trend-setter in its Greek version. ~ Ingredients: ~ 4 cl METAXA 5* ~ 2 cl of lemon juice ~ 1 lime ~ 2 tea spoons of brown sugar ~ 10 fresh mint leaves ~ Soda water ~ Preparation: ~ Put sugar, lemon juice and mint into a glass. ~ Add a quartered lime and muddle it. ~ Infuse METAXA 5* and soda water. ~ Stir it with a bar spoon. ~ Decoration: ~ Mint sprig.
Caipi-Taxa ~ Ingredients: ~ 6 cl METAXA 5* ~ 1 Lime / 1 Strawberry / 1 cherry ~ 1 blueberry, 2-3 cubes of pineapple ~ 1 black olive ~ 1 tablespoon of white cane sugar ~ Preparation: ~ Cut the lime into slices or pieces and muddle them together with the sugar in a tumbler. ~ Add strawberry, cherry, blueberry, pineapple cubes and black olive (do not squeeze). ~ Fill up the tumbler with crushed ice and add METAXA 5*. ~ Stir it well with a bar spoon and add thick straws. ~ Decoration: ~ Decorate with a strawberry, blue grape and a piece of pineapple. ~ Optional: ~ Put a holed and halved passion fruit onto the middle of the glass, fill it up with METAXA and light it up.
	Side Car ~ Ingredients: ~ 3 cl METAXA 5* ~ 1 cl Cointreau ~ 1 cl Lemon juice ~ 2 cl Orange juice ~ Preparation: ~ Shake with ice cubes and strain it into a cocktail glass onto some ice cubes. ~ Add two thick straws. ~ Decoration: ~ Cocktail cherry.
Diego ~ Ingredients: ~ 3 cl METAXA 5* ~ 2 cl Aperol ~ 2 cl Galliano ~ 2 cl Water melon-syrup ~ 6 cl Passion fruit juice ~ 8 cl Cranberry fruit juice ~ Preparation: ~ Shake with ice cubes and strain it into a long drink glass onto some ice cubes. ~ Add two thick straws. ~ Decoration: ~ Leaf of pineapple ~ Piece of water melon ~ Cocktail cherry
	Apollo ~ Ingredients: ~ 4 cl METAXA 5* ~ 1 cl Cointreau ~ 1 cl Crème de Cassis ~ 1 cl Lime Juice ~ 4 cl Passion fruit juice ~ 6 cl Cranberry juice ~ Preparation: ~ Shake with ice cubes and strain it into a cocktail glass onto some ice cubes. ~ Add two straws. ~ Decoration: ~ Lemon slice and Cocktail cherries.
