 Ellinikos Kafes (Greek Coffee)
 Elliniko Frappé (Greek Iced Coffee)
 Café au Lait

~ Ingredients:
~ 4½ cups Whole Milk
~ 4½ cups Freshly Brewed Strong Coffee or Espresso
~ Garnishments: Ground Cinnamon, Vanilla Beans, Sugar, Unsweetened Cocoa Powder, Honey, Strips of Orange and Lemon Zest

~ Pour milk in a medium pan and heat over low heat, until bubbles start forming around the edges.
~ Use a whisk to form frothy bubbles.
~ Combine coffee and milk in an insulated coffee carafe.
~ Pour into glasses and serve with garnishments.

Golden Greek
 
 
 
~ Ingredients:         Servings: 6-8
~ 4 cups hot coffee
~ 1 cup of hot cocoa mix
~ 1/2 a cup of half-and-half milk
~ 1/2 a cup of Metaxa brandy
~ 1 teaspoon of Galliano
~ 1/2 a cup of whipping cream, whipped


~ Heat coffee, cocoa mix and half and half milk in a large saucepan until cocoa dissolves.
~ Stir in Metaxa and Galliano and heat through.
~ May be served in china cups to add a touch of elegance.
~ Garnish with dollops of whipped cream and serve.

Louisa (Greek Lemon Verbena Herbal Tea)

~ Ingredients:
~ 1/2 an ounce of dried Verbena Leaves
~ 1 quart of boiling water
~ Honey or sugar (optional)

~ Place the leaves in a teapot and add boiling water.
~ Steep the mixture for 10 minutes.
~ Strain the liquid into serving cups and serve.
~ Serve with honey or sugar on the side or enjoy it plain.

Sage Tea (Faskomilo)

~ Ingredients:
~ 2 tsp of loose Black Tea
~ 8 dried Sage Leaves
~ Sugar or honey for serving

~ Boil 6 cups of water in a medium saucepan.
~ Remove the pan from heat, and add the tea and sage leaves.
~ Cover the pan immediately.
~ Allow the tea to steep for about 10 minutes, by wrapping a towel around the pan.
~ Strain the liquid into teacups and serve hot.
~ Serve with honey and sugar on the side.

Tsai Tou Vounou (Greek Mountain Tea)

~ Ingredients:
~ 1/2 an ounce of dried Tea Leaves and Flowers
~ 1 quart of boiling water
~ Sugar and Honey, to taste

~ Put the tea leaves and flowers in a teapot.
~ Pour boiling water over the tea.
~ Let the tea steep for 8-10 minutes.
~ Strain the tea and pour into serving teacups.
~ Serve honey and sugar on the side.

Portokalada (Orange Squash)
Vyssinatha (Sour Cherry Cordial)

~ Ingredients:
~ 1 tsp Sour Cherry Syrup
~ 5 ounces Ice Water
~ Ice Cubes


~ Take a glass and put water in it.
~ Add syrup to the water and stir well.
~ Finally, add ice and enjoy the drink.

The Greek Lantern

~ Ingredients:
~ 1 cup (packed) with parsley sprigs
~ 1/2 a tsp of lime zest
~ 1 cup of cold water
~ 1/2 a cup of fresh lime juice
~ 1/2 a cup of sugar
~ 1 (10 ounce) bottle club soda

~ Blend all the ingredients except from the club soda, in a blender for about one minute.
~ Take a large glass measure and strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve.
~ Put ice into tall glasses and pour the prepared drink.
~ Top with club soda, garnish with a slice of lime and serve.

Ayrani

~ Ingredients:
~ 2 cups of plain Greek yogurt
~ 2 cups of water
~ Salt to taste

~ In a blender, combine together yogurt and water.
~ Add salt to taste and blend once again, until very foamy on top.
~ Pour into a glass that is quarter-filled with ice and serve.
