Garithes-Ostraka Saltsa (Shrimp-Scallops Sauce)

| ~ Ingredients: ~ Shrimp ~ Scallops ~ 4-5 tbsp of olive oil ~ 1 cup of chicken broth ~ 1tbsp of flour ~ 1 onion finely chopped ~ 2-3 cloves of garlic slices ~ 1-2 tbsp of lemon juice ~ 1/2 tsp of red pepper (optional) ~ Salt and pepper to taste |

| ~ Prepare and cook the pasta al dented and strain. ~ Sauté shrimp and scallops in a hot pan in olive oil; remove and set aside. ~ Add chopped onions and garlic to the pan and sauté until onions are translucent. ~ Add 1 tbsp flour and cook for 2 minutes. ~ Add 1 cup of chicken broth scrape the bottom of pan to deglaze and simmer until thickened. ~ Add shrimp and scallops and season to taste. ~ Add some red pepper flakes, (optional) lemon zest and juice, salt and pepper to taste. ~ Add some lemon juice right before serving (optional). ~ Place a serving of pasta in a plate, add some sauce over it, some grated cheese and serve hot. ~ A bottle of white wine is optional but highly recommended! ~ Good luck and bon appétit. |
